How to Sell With Us
If you want to clear your abandoned storage rooms with us you have two options and the route you choose will depend upon whether you have time to prepare thorough inventories of the room contents and take good photos of the items that are likely to have value.
Option 2 is to send us your inventories and photos and we will create the auction listing for you. First you will need to create an account. Please click on this link to do so.
Once you have created your account and are logged in then click on the next link to send your inventories and photos to us.
We will then use our expertise to create the auction listing and present it in the most efficient way (we don’t expect you to be experts in the best way to present an auction listing). We will contact you to discuss any specific requirements but generally an auction will run for 7 days and once the room has sold we will contact the buyer and arrange a collection date and payment.

We have been specialising in the clearance of abandoned storage rooms since 2017. We understand that this is never an appetising aspect of self-storage and we believe that as an industry you go above and beyond to try and avoid selling a non-paying customer’s possessions. Disposal is always a last resort but as a commercial business you must have customers paying rent to be viable. We are sympathetic to the issues you face and ensure we operate in a way that does not make the process any more troublesome than it already is.
There can never be any substantial upside to your brand or reputation in selling a non-paying customer’s goods so we ensure confidentiality in each auction we run. We do not promote our auctions as Storage Wars or Storage Hunters as we believe that this links storage companies to an association with poor practice, especially as the SSA itself makes clear that the practice used in the TV shows is actually illegal in the UK.
The SSA Manual of Advice and Procedures is clear that a thorough inventory should be taken before the contents of an abandoned room are disposed of. The only rooms that are sold on our site are ones that have been prepared in accordance with this advice.
Our Fees
Our fee structure is the simplest in the marketplace. If you wish to list a room that you have prepared yourself our fee is 10% of the selling price. If you require a visit from Keepers Cottage there will be a small fixed fee and a contingent fee based on the final selling price. These will be confirmed when you request a visit.
We do not charge the buyer any fee. This is often a hidden charge that depresses the offer a buyer is willing to make and unseen by the storage company. We have not entertained this complication in our charging structure leaving the buyer free to make their maximum bid. This makes the whole area of fees as transparent as it can be for both buyer and seller.
